House Project – Stucco Goes Up

Whenever you build a new home or a major addition, there are a lot of choices to make. Stucco is one of the bigger choices. You can put up siding, planks, shiplap and here in California, Stucco is the go to finish of choice. The reason is simple. Stucco can hide a lot of imperfections in the framing of the house. It doesn’t have to be perfect for a stucco crew to make it look great.

There are several methods for installing stucco, the best is a three coat system. The first coat is called the “Scratch coat” and is the thickest coat. Second is the “Brown Coat”. As you can see in this video, other things are happening at the same time. Drywall was installed and so was the roof.

This is a compilation, basically uncut of the three time lapse cameras we used for the 2016 project house for TecTacDoh. We didn’t cut or clean up any of these files so they aren’t perfect. This is the real deal, foggy lenses and all.

Thank you for watching, and we hope to see you back soon.
